Children’s Social Work, Social Work Assistant Southampton Pay rate £21.14 per hour Contract role, Child Protection / Safeguarding Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Children’ Social Work Assistant in Southampton This is to work as a Young Person’s Practitioner – you will need to have a Level 3 BTEC or NVQ in Health and Social Care or similar.
Responsibilities: In partnership with families and other agencies, provide support alongside social workers to young people and families who are undergoing statutory assessments, children in need interventions and ROTH / child protection enquiries and interventions.
Support children and young people who are; vulnerable to criminality or exploitation vulnerable because missing is a risk factor vulnerable because family breakdown or homelessness is a significant risk Support parents, carers and family networks through practical advice, guidance and support.
Sometimes this will be in an emergency or an intensive package of support.
