The Role As a MASH Social Worker, you'll be responsible for:
- Screening and assessing referrals from professionals, agencies, and the public
- Working in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment alongside health, police, education, and early help teams
- Making evidence-based decisions around threshold, risk, and the next steps
- Ensuring timely and proportionate responses to safeguarding concerns
- Managing information-sharing with accuracy and professionalism
- Promoting early intervention by directing families to the most appropriate support services
You'll be working under an experienced Team Manager, in a stable and supportive local authority committed to high standards and child-centred practice.? What We’re Looking For You’ll need to be:
- A Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Experienced in children’s safeguarding and multi-agency decision-making
- Skilled at managing risk, handling sensitive information, and working under pressure
- Confident using frameworks such as Threshold Guidance and the Children Act 1989
- A strong communicator and collaborator across diverse professional networks
- Passionate about achieving positive, timely outcomes for children and families
- Ideally 4+ years post-qualified, but experienced candidates with less are welcome to apply
