Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced Senior EHCP Co-ordinator / Tribunals Mediation Officer to join a Local Authority in Bromley on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND professional with extensive knowledge of SEND legislation and a strong background in appeals, mediations, and complex EHCP casework.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex EHCP cases in line with statutory requirements.
- Lead on SEND Tribunal appeals from initial response through to hearing.
- Prepare tribunal documentation, witness statements, and evidence bundles.
- Attend and represent the Local Authority at Tribunal hearings, Judicial Alternative Dispute Resolution (JADR), Tribunal Case Management Hearings (TCMH), and mediation meetings.
- Liaise with parents, schools, legal representatives, educational professionals, and partner agencies to resolve disputes effectively.
- Provide advice and guidance on SEND legislation, the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Support the delivery of high-quality EHCP casework and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
- Ensure statutory timescales are met while maintaining accuracy and quality.
