�? Qualified Social Worker – Learning Disability & Autism Intake Team?? Location: North East?? Pay Rate: £28.50 per hour (via agency)Are you an experienced and compassionate social worker ready to make a real impact in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism? We’re looking for a Senior Social Worker to join a forward-thinking Learning Disability & Autism Intake Team in the North East. In this role, you’ll lead by example in delivering proactive, person-centred care that puts the needs and dignity of every individual first. You'll work alongside a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team that values innovation, reflective practice, and strengths-based approaches. - Conduct strength-based assessments to identify social care needs and appropriate interventions.
- Develop and review personalised care and support plans in collaboration with individuals and families.
- Make informed decisions using your knowledge of legislation, risk assessment, and safeguarding practices.
- Signpost service users to appropriate services, resources, and community support.
- Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively with health, housing, and voluntary sector partners.
- Promote dignity, empowerment, and independence in every interaction.
? About You:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 4 years' post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Care.
- Strong knowledge of current social care legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Skilled in managing complex caseloads while maintaining high standards of practice.
- Able to build strong relationships with individuals, carers, and partner agencies.
- Proactive, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement.
