Contract role, Social Work - Youth Offending Service
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Youth Offending Service Practitioner in East London. You will need to be a Qualified Social Worker, with experience in Youth Justice.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage a caseload of youth justice cases, both out of court disposals and statutory court orders, according to the National Standards and the HMIP Inspection Framework.
- Provide effective support and interventions to children and young people to complete their disposals/orders and live a crime-free life.
- Ensure effective communication with children and young people, their families, and relevant internal and external partners to secure the best outcome.
- Prioritise equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice throughout all areas of work.
- Use AssetPlus as an Assessment and Planning tool to undertake case management with a focus on trauma-informed practice.
- Work collaboratively with children and young people, their families, and partner agencies to deliver effective evidence-based group and/or individual interventions/programmes.
- Prepare Pre-Sentence Reports or Stand-Down Reports for the Court and Panel Reports for Referral Order Panel and other forums as required.
- Represent YJTPS and present information to Courts.
- Provide effective engagement and deliver interventions based on the analysis of the assessment to keep the child or young person safe and keep other people safe.
