Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Senior Lawyer (Children Families Legal) in the Manchester area. We are currently seeking a Senior Lawyer (Children Families Legal) to join the Legal Services Department at Manchester City Council.
The role involves:
- Working within our Public Law subgroup, managing a busy caseload primarily consisting of Section 31 and DoLS matters.
- You will be supported by a Legal Officer (two Lawyers to one Legal Officer), who will assist with drafting documents, requesting evidence, seeking instructions, and other case management tasks.
- In addition, we have a dedicated Children’s Business Support team that manages bundling and administrative responsibilities.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 6 months and likely to be extended
- Working Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Lunch Break: 30 minutes (unpaid)
- Working Arrangement: While some office presence would be preferred, we are open to fully remote arrangements
