Contract role, Local Government Planning

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Planning Officer in South West London. This is a contract role, and you will need to have experience in a similar role.

Planning Officer (Development Management) Core Responsibilities:

  • Application Assessment: Process, evaluate, and make recommendations on planning applications, listed building consents, householder planning applications, prior approvals and lawful development certificates.
  • Negotiation Site Visits: Conduct site visits and negotiate with developers to amend plans (where appropriate), ensuring high quality design and adherence to regulations.
  • Pre-application Advice: Provide professional advice to residents, agents, and developers regarding the feasibility of proposals.
  • Report Writing Committee Attendance: Prepare detailed officer reports and present recommendations to the Planning Committee.
  • Planning Policy Law: Ensure compliance with the Local Plan and National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
