Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Housing Advice and Options Manager in Northamptonshire. This is a Local Authority based role, so you will need to have significant experience of working at this level in a Local Authority Housing team.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall development, co-ordination, delivery and performance of a highly effective homelessness prevention, assessment and advice service for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
- Reducing homelessness and minimising the use of temporary accommodation.
- Developing, supporting and promoting an inclusive, multi-agency problem-solving approach to tackling, preventing and reducing homelessness.
- Providing advice on housing options, taking into account needs and aspirations, eligibility for assistance under homelessness legislation, priority on the housing register, and ability to sustain a tenancy in the private sector.
- Contributing positively to the development of new working practices and initiatives, and the improvement of existing practices.
