Reporting to the Manager, the ATM will be responsible for leadership and management of social care team. Using their advanced knowledge and experience they will lead and model practice which meets statutory requirements, provides early help and prevention to reduce need and support independence using the relevant practice framework for the service. They will manage complex caseloads, safeguarding enquiries, court of protection application, continuing health care assessments, work jointly with other professionals, and supervise qualified and unqualified staff members.
Mental Health Social Care Team
Reporting to the Team Manager, the ATM will support team operations, staff support and workload allocation. They will provide ongoing supervision to staff, provide duty manager cover and offer guidance while leveraging the expertise of the Team Manager for support on complex cases. Additionally, th ATM will contribute to ensuring that commissioned services are cost-effective and, where appropriate, participate in the co-production of service improvements with service users and family care. The team contributes to meeting our statutory duties under the Care Act and Mental Health Act and provides an opportunity to contribute to Sutton’s strength-based approach, focused on achieving the best outcomes for our service users. The Mental Health Team consists of two ATM’s, with both assisting in supporting the Mental Health team’s day to day functions as part of the Duty Manager rota, including acting as Safeguarding Manager for statutory safeguarding enquiries.
