Job Description
- Lead meaningful, direct work with care-experienced young people and their families.
- Complete in-depth assessments and care planning, intervening early to ensure better long-term outcomes.
- Work alongside key partners including police, health services, and early help teams.
- Contribute to safeguarding work, including Section 47 enquiries, Initial Child Protection Conferences, and permanency planning.
- Help bridge the gap between social care and local community support by promoting sustainable, positive change.
- Offer guidance and support to students and unqualified staff, helping shape the next generation of social care professionals.
?? What You’ll BringWe’re looking for someone who is:
- A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Experienced in working with vulnerable children and families – including care leavers.
- Confident in risk assessment and care planning.
- Knowledgeable of child protection legislation and best practice.
- Skilled in building strong, trust-based relationships with young people and families.
- A collaborative team player, comfortable working across disciplines and agencies.
- Emotionally intelligent, flexible, and resilient – with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Minimum 4 years post-qualified experience required.
