Job Description
- To ensure compliance with the professional code of conduct and fulfil obligations under the relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, CHC, the MCA and the MHA.
- To be fully responsible for managing a caseload including people with complex needs, (including mental health).
- To be responsible for accepting referrals, undertaking screening, and carrying out assessment of needs for people.
- To apply eligibility criteria as identified in the Care Act and work in accordance with its requirements to ensure people's well being. To assist vulnerable adults to be protected and safeguarded and ensure that they are effectively managing their own risks and capacity wherever possible.
- Ensure that a strengths based, person centred approach is central to your interventions
Candidate Requirements for the Adults Social Worker role:
- A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- At least 3 years’ post-qualifying experienceÂ
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Experience in adult social care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult social care
