Contract role, Scunthorpe
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Adult’s Senior Social Worker in the Scunthorpe area. This is to work in the Social Care Connect Team, which is the front door for Adult Social Care at North Lincolnshire Council.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide operational oversight of the SCCT duty function, ensuring statutory responses are timely, proportionate, and risk-informed.
- Performance-manage duty activity to maintain safe decision-making, throughput, and quality standards.
- Act as a calm, authoritative point of leadership during high-pressure duty periods, including managing high-risk and complex referrals.
- Ensure effective screening, triage, and workflow allocation, balancing demand, capacity, and risk.
- Apply a solution-focused approach to problem-solving, escalating barriers appropriately and implementing pragmatic actions.
- Support and challenge staff on duty to promote consistent thresholds, defensible decisions, and reflective practice.
- Monitor performance indicators and contribute to service improvement within the SCCT model.
- Maintain oversight of safeguarding decisions and escalate concerns in line with local protocols.
