Role Overview:

Pertemps Social Care are supporting Liverpool Council by recruiting an experienced social worker to work within adults community social work. Working in a fast-paced team environment, you will be committed to the operational delivery of an effective Adult Social Care Service as part of an integrated team responsible for safeguarding, support planning and promoting the wellbeing of adults with care and support needs to continuously improve outcomes. You will need to be able to work well in a team setting and have excellent interpersonal and written skills. The successful applicant will have a background of working in a similar setting.

Do you have experience in:

  • Safeguarding
  • Mental capacity assessments
  • Care Act assessments
  • Reviews and support planning

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload
  • Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation of written reports
  • Undertake direct work with service users, carers and families
  • Accountable for complex decision making and risk management in relation to caseloads
  • To ensure the delivery within financial resources available of services to meet assessed needs and outcomes
  • Attend and represent the department at a range of multi-disciplinary forums and undertake the role of Chair as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work
  • A minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience
  • Social Work England (SWE) registration
  • Right to Work in the UK

You will be working in fast-paced teams environment and be committed to improving the care of vulnerable adults. You will need to be able to work well in a team setting and have excellent interpersonal and written skills. The successful applicants will have a background of working in similar settings.
