We are looking for a commercially driven and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing Commercial team. They are a leading Birmingham based civils, groundworks and demolition company working for Tier 1 contractors. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality projects while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the business.

The Role

You will take ownership of projects from tender through to final account, ensuring strong financial performance, effective contract administration, and successful project delivery. Working closely with internal teams and clients, you will be instrumental in maintaining relationships, managing risk, and driving value across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams
  • Work collaboratively with Contracts Managers, Site Teams, and Estimators
  • Lead contract administration, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and relevant legislation
  • Manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects from tender to final account
  • Prepare and submit accurate valuations and ensure timely receipt of payments
  • Produce and maintain cash flow forecasts and financial reports
  • Identify, manage, and agree variations and compensation events
  • Ensure robust cost control, forecasting, and budget management to achieve target margins
  • Monitor and mitigate commercial risks
