Are you an experienced and meticulous Electrical Tester ready for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a dedicated Mobile Test & Inspection Electrician to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career with a reputable company, covering a regional patch across Portsmouth, Redhill, and Southampton.
The Role:
As a Mobile Test & Inspection Electrician, you'll carry out comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) for commercial and industrial clients. You'll inspect, test, and report on electrical systems, ensuring compliance with the latest industry standards and helping clients maintain safe and compliant installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed EICRs in a range of commercial and industrial environments
- Inspect and test wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment
- Identify defects, non-compliances, and potential safety risks
- Produce clear, accurate reports with recommendations for remedial works
- Work to the highest standards under BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining findings and offering technical advice
- Maintain testing equipment in line with company and industry requirements
- Follow company policies, health & safety guidelines, and best practices
- Engage in continuous training and professional development
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical inspection or similar
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing qualification
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Competence with testing equipment and report software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Full UK driving licence
