X3 Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineers (M&E) - SO40
Location: Mobile
Salary: £22.21p/h inc hol. pay
Hours: 8am till 5pm, Monday to Friday
PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to work on a prestigious contract, delivering both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance across a wide range of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services plant. This role will suit a reliable and professional engineer who can work independently, as part of a team, and supervise subcontractors when required. You will act as the face of the client on site, maintaining high standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant in line with site schedules and CAFM systems
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and ensure plant faults and defects are rectified efficiently
- Undertake Legionella control and monitoring, fire alarm testing, and participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with contractual KPIs and SLAs
- Complete all relevant paperwork and CAFM updates accurately and on time
- Prepare and work to Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Operate a Permit to Work system in line with technical and SHEQ procedures
- Maintain plant rooms, site logbooks, and signing-in procedures to a high standard
- Supervise and monitor subcontractors while on site
- Liaise professionally with clients, helpdesk, supervisors, and contract management
- Support emergency engineering situations to ensure operational continuity
- Respond to verbal and written client requests in a timely manner
- Assist with production of information for quotations and liaise with Contract Managers
- Support the Helpdesk with PPM and reactive maintenance updates
- Provide out-of-hours support when required
- Gain Technical Appointments where required (e.g. LVAP/LVCP, Mechanical/Pressure CP)
- Produce condition and dilapidation reports as needed
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and SHEQ requests
- Report accidents and near misses promptly
- Ensure all tools and test equipment are calibrated and fit for purpose
- Maintain safe use of PPE at all times
- Proven experience in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management
- Strong fault-finding ability across both Mechanical and Electrical systems
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Confident communicator with clients and colleagues
- Smart, professional appearance and customer-focused attitude
- Electrical: C&G Part A & B OR C&G 236 Pt 1 & 2, C&G 2330 Level 2 & 3 OR AM1 & AM2 OR C&G 2360 Pt 1 & 2, 18th Edition (C&G), C&G 2391 or 2394/2395, NICEIC competence in Inspection, Testing & Certification
- Mechanical: BTEC Level 3 Mechanical Engineering / HVAC (Certificate or Diploma), C&G 6188 Level 2 Heating & Ventilation OR C&G 7188 Level 3 Competent Person - Mechanical & Pressure Systems, Strong plumbing maintenance and fault-finding experience
- Additional: EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
