An established and growing specialist contractor within the aluminium glazing industry is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join its expanding team. The business specialises in the design, manufacture, supply, and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, doors, and shopfront systems for commercial, residential, and PBSA developments across the UK. The role
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple live construction sites from pre-contract stage through to successful completion and handover. You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend pre-contract meetings to understand project scope, client expectations, and delivery requirements
- Manage live construction sites throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate site teams and subcontractors, resolving issues quickly and effectively
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact on projects
- Produce regular progress reports, including written updates and site photography
- Support the preparation and implementation of RAMS and safe systems of work
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental procedures across all sites
- Monitor project progress, labour, materials, and budgets
- Carry out site inspections and quality control checks
- Assist with project programming and scheduling to minimise delays
- Support procurement decisions and review subcontractor/material costs
- Act as the communication link between site operations and head office
Requirements
- Proven experience within the façade industry
- SMSTS qualification
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work away from home when required
- Proactive problem solver with a practical mindset
- Experience producing reports and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to implement processes and improvements within the business
