PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Gas Engineer to work across a local domestic housing patch in the Portsmouth Area, carrying out gas servicing and heating repairs. Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out annual gas servicing, maintenance and heating repairs within domestic properties while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out annual gas servicing and heating repairs within domestic properties
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Gas Safety Regulations and Health & Safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service while working within occupied homes
- Complete job reports and documentation using a PDA system
- Report accidents, hazards or near-miss incidents
- Manage workload and appointments efficiently across your local patch
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
Requirements
- ACS Gas Qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong knowledge of gas legislation and safety standards
- Experience carrying out domestic gas servicing and repairs
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work within occupied homes
- Ability to manage workload independently
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing / Heating
- Additional qualifications such as LPG or Unvented
