£16.70 per hour About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of cleaning operatives. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the school. The position is an evening-only role during term time and transitions to daytime hours during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily operational supervision of the cleaning team under the Site Manager\’s guidance.
Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including COSHH regulations.
Schedule and manage work shifts and absence cover for the team.
Conduct quality audits, performance appraisals, and training for team members.
Manage stock and equipment replenishment in liaison with the Site Manager.
Undertake and supervise cleaning duties, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
Secure the school premises at the end of cleaning sessions, including setting alarms.Essential Criteria:
Minimum of 2 years\’ experience in a supervisory cleaning role.
Familiarity with current cleaning industry best practices, methods, products, and equipment.
Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliable, adaptable, and committed to upholding the values of the school.Desirable Criteria:
BICs cleaning qualification or equivalent.
