An established and growing roofing contractor is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join their South East team. This is a role for someone with strong experience in industrial and flat roofing and cladding, including Sika roofing systems, who can confidently lead roofing gangs, organise site activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
You will be expected to lead from the front, managing operatives on site with roofing works when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage roofing gangs and subcontractors on site.
- Organise daily work areas and allocate labour effectively.
- Monitor progress against project programmes and deadlines.
- Ensure roofing works are completed to a high standard and specification.
- Carry out quality inspections, snagging and remedial works.
- Coordinate materials, plant, MEWPs and deliveries.
- Liaise with site management, clients and other trades.
- Attend site meetings where required.
- Monitor and maintain high health and safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of labour, productivity and completed works.
- Assist on the tools and with roofing installation works when necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience within industrial and flat roofing.
- Experience working with Sika roofing systems would be highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a Working Foreman, Roofing Supervisor or similar.
- Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems and industrial roofing.
- Confident reading technical drawings and construction details.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
- Reliable, organised and capable of working independently.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Able to manage labour, productivity and tight programmes.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Based in or around Chelmsford, Essex.
- Willingness to travel across Essex and surrounding areas, with occasional work away when required.
Desirable Qualifications
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- IPAF.
- PASMA.
- First Aid.
