We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. This is a mobile position, requiring travel across the West & East Midlands and occasionally wider UK locations. The successful candidate will carry out a mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and electrical installations across both commercial and domestic properties.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned & Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites
  • Complete electrical installations in commercial and domestic environments
  • Perform EICR testing, 1 & 3 phase power installations, and LED lighting upgrades
  • Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete repairs efficiently
  • Provide accurate assessments when additional works are required
  • Communicate clearly with customers when follow-up visits are needed
  • Ensure all tasks comply with current electrical codes, standards, and site rules
  • Maintain a cost-effective approach when sourcing materials
  • Keep all mandatory training and competencies up to date
  • Complete all job-related documentation accurately and promptly
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a safe and clean standard
  • Support management and liaise with clients to ensure work is completed correctly
  • Actively identify additional work opportunities when appropriate
  • Participate in the emergency call-out rota (1 in 6-8 weeks)

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' industry experience in electrical installations
  • Strong electrical knowledge across both domestic and commercial settings
  • Excellent understanding of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
  • Experience with electrical testing and inspection
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe-working methods
  • Self-motivated, detail-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
  • Flexible to travel to multiple sites and undertake overtime when required
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, tenants, and colleagues
  • Full clean UK driving licence

Essential Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Level 3 - Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018)
  • City & Guilds 2391 / 2391-52 - Testing & Inspection
