We are looking for an experienced Mobile Electrically Biased Facilities Management (FM) Engineer to join our team, covering a portfolio of commercial sites across Aylesbury, Oxford, Milton Keynes and Newbury. This is a mobile engineering position suited to a practical, customer-focused engineer who is confident working independently and has a strong electrical bias, alongside a broad understanding of general building services and facilities maintenance.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and small works across a range of commercial properties, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and undertake repairs where suitably qualified.
  • Complete electrical testing, inspection and fault finding as required.
  • Maintain and repair general building services and associated facilities equipment.
  • Undertake basic mechanical, plumbing, fabric and general maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests and attend breakdowns within agreed response times.
  • Complete small works and minor installations as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with current health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records, job sheets and electronic service reports.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site representatives, subcontractors and colleagues.
  • Identify potential issues and recommend remedial works where appropriate.
  • Manage a daily workload effectively while travelling between sites.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a high standard.
  • Support the wider FM team when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within commercial facilities management or building services maintenance.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
  • Professional approach with good communication and customer service skills.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to complete electronic job records.

Desirable

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
  • Experience with BMS, HVAC, AHUs, pumps, boilers or other building services.
  • Experience working within commercial offices, retail, industrial or similar environments.
  • IPAF, PASMA or other relevant industry qualifications.
  • Experience working within a CAFM system.
