Catering Cashier - Aylesbury
Pay Rate: £12.75 to £15p/h
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Contract: Temporary - 4 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Hours per week: 40 hours
The Role
PPM Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Catering Cashier to work within a healthcare environment. This is a temporary, full-time position for an organised, reliable and customer-focused individual who can provide an efficient cashiering service within a busy catering operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer payments, handling cash and card transactions, and providing friendly and professional customer service to staff, visitors and other customers on site.
A Basic DBS is required for this role
Key Responsibilities
- Process cash and card payments accurately and efficiently.
- Operate a till or electronic payment system.
- Handle cash responsibly and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with payment queries and general enquiries.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised cashiering area.
- Follow all relevant cash-handling, hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Work effectively with catering colleagues to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
- Comply with site procedures and instructions provided by the management team.
Requirements
- Previous cashier, till operating or customer service experience is desirable.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle cash and payments accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, friendly and approachable manner.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a busy healthcare catering environment.
- Willingness to follow site‑specific health and safety procedures.
