About the Team
The Distribution department turns PPL’s data inputs (the money received, the music usage reported, and the recordings registered by its members) into payments for performers and record companies. The Distribution Policy team ‘joins the dots’ in this process, using data analysis to assess how music is used and ensure it is appropriately reflected in the way revenues are allocated. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining distribution policies, evaluating the quality and suitability of music usage data, and supporting continuous improvements to PPL’s distribution approach.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the timely and accurate delivery of revenue funds and associated data for PPL distributions.
- Analyse and interpret data to support distribution policy development and improvements.
- Help gather, record and assess information from suppliers, customers, market research and other sources.
- Contribute to forecasting, reporting and results checking throughout the year.
- Prepare analysis and recommendations for presentation to key stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships across teams and provide clear, professional communication to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate policy and process documentation.
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical capability, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with complex information. You’ll bring experience of gathering, analysing and interpreting data with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly. You will be highly organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities. An interest in research, policy, data and the music or broadcasting industries would be a strong advantage.

- Experience of gathering, analysing and interpreting data in an academic or professional setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
