PPL’s International Team manages relationships with collective management organisations (CMOs) around the globe. They are responsible for instructing and acting upon the agreements PPL holds globally to collect revenue for our members when their music is used internationally.
PPL’s International collection service has grown significantly in the last ten years and is a core revenue stream for the company. As our Operations Specialist you will own a series of administrative and analytical tasks to support the international team with collecting and distributing revenue from the Collective Management Organisation (CMO) portfolio. Strong organisational skills, planning capability and numerical reasoning are key skills required. The key to succeeding in this role will be the ability to multi-task and plan appropriately to successfully deliver a structured and balanced timetable of work throughout the year. You will carry out data manipulation and data entry activities to support revenue generation and resolution of queries from members.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide administrative support
- Support the delivery of the overall annual international revenue budget
- Support the distribution of collected revenues to PPL members
- Undertake analysis to support the international team using excel, reporting screens and other data provided by Collective Management Organisations (CMOs) as directed by management
- Update Collective Management Organisation (CMO) online portals with member and repertoire data as required
- Support the management of communications with the CMOs through the International inbox
- Act as the subject matter expert for all matters associated with administrative support
- Report on progress to the International Operations Manager
What you’ll need:
- Knowledge of administrative practices and task planning
- Good excel and data manipulation skills
- Strong organisational skills and experience of creating and monitoring work schedules
- Ability to manage varied operational tasks resolving conflicting priorities and resource constraints
- Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
- Computer literate, with an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office
