Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mobile Plant Mechanic role based in Leicester.
The Mobile Plant Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of plant equipment, small tools, and attachments both in the depot and on client sites.
Day-to-day tasks include carrying out routine servicing and inspections, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and ensuring all equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
The role involves preparing equipment for hire, responding to breakdowns promptly, and keeping accurate maintenance records.
The Mobile Plant Mechanic will collaborate with the hire desk, drivers, and site teams to prioritize workloads and support efficient delivery of equipment to clients.

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining and repairing mobile plant, construction machinery, or heavy equipment.

- Ability to diagnose faults, interpret technical manuals, and use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.

- Full UK driving licence; ability to travel to client sites as required.
