To manage debt enforcement and copyright infringement cases instructing external solicitors where appropriate in order to maximise cash collections.
To assist external solicitors with the investigation and preparation of new case files and with the administrative updating of ongoing files.
What you will be doing
- To review referrals based on initial evidence of music usage
- To propose cases for fast tracking
- To contact accounts with a view to obtaining payment and payment commitments from customers
- To carry out external checks on businesses, gathering any required information to assist with customer contacts, negotiation or enforcement action
- To prepare case files maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- To instruct solicitors, providing case files and any other necessary information to assist them with negotiation of required action
- To respond to the questions of external solicitors in a timely manner
- To check music usage evidence provided by external parties matches to the music repertoire
- To deliver a positive customer experience and proactively contribute to the department’s service standards and customer satisfaction results, ensuring call quality targets are consistently achieved and exceeded
- To demonstrate a positive image of the company, through developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with customers
- To work co-operatively and supportively with other teams in order to ensure the customer experience is positive
- To use objection handling techniques to proactively resolve any customer queries or objections
- To respond to customer queries and ensure timely resolution of complaints, escalating where necessary
- To develop and maintain knowledge of core licensing processes and procedures including tariffs and Copyright Law
- To maintain accurate notes in the system
- To undertake other tasks as reasonably requested
You will be
- Educated to A level standard, degree level or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably working within a relevant area for example: collections or enforcement team
- Competent using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Trained on cash collection, telephone and customer service techniques
- Knowledge of debt enforcement and copyright infringement legal processes in England and Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Work with external solicitors would be advantageous
