The Junior System Quality Analyst is responsible for understanding the needs of the business and the execution of structured manual testing across PPL PRS systems, primarily Salesforce, ensuring that all changes are tested, evidenced, and safe to deploy.
Develop Specifications to provide and maintain a system that meets the customer needs. Assist the support teams by testing enhancements and future functionality in order to improve the quality, reliability, and performance of the system. Develop the necessary technical and business process skills to support the team and the process.
This role is explicitly aligned to the Salesforce Quality Assurance responsibilities and deliberately excludes ownership of automated test frameworks, deployment orchestration, and CI/CD tooling. These responsibilities sit with the Architecture and Engineering roles. The role operates under the direction of the Systems Quality (Team Lead), contributing to a controlled, audit-ready, and scalable QA function for 2026 and beyond.
What you will be doing
- Manual Test Execution: Execute manual functional, regression, and negative testing for assigned tickets and changes. Ensure 100% of deployed changes have passed agreed testing, unless risk is explicitly accepted. Verify that changes meet documented acceptance criteria before release.
- Test Planning, Scripts & Traceability: Create and maintain clear, repeatable test scripts aligned to JIRA tickets, acceptance criteria, and core PPL PRS business processes. Ensure traceability from requirement to test to result, supporting internal audit and release assurance. Maintain regression scenarios for critical Salesforce workflows.
- Quality Governance & Evidence: Produce audit-ready test evidence in line with PPL PRS change governance expectations. Maintain accurate JIRA records including test outcomes, defects raised, and risk commentary. Support QA reporting and assurance led by the QA Lead.
- Delivery Discipline & Escalation: Produce audit-ready test evidence in line with PPL PRS change governance expectations. Maintain accurate JIRA records including test outcomes, defects raised, and risk commentary. Support QA reporting and assurance led by the QA Lead.
- Automation Collaboration: Identify repeatable or high-risk manual tests suitable for automation. Provide clean, stable test cases for build into automated suites by Deployment & Automation Specialist and DevOps/Automation roles. Support regression test cycles executed via automation (review results, not execution).
- Project & Change Support: Support both BAU and project delivery by contributing appropriate levels of testing and supporting go/no-go decisions through evidence. Work collaboratively with Developers, Admins, and the Automation function without owning deployment activity.
You will have
- Essential: Experience testing Salesforce or equivalent enterprise platforms. Solid understanding of functional testing, regression testing, test evidence, and traceability. Confident use of JIRA for test and defect management. High attention to detail and quality-first mindset.
- Desirable: Awareness of automated testing concepts and CI/CD pipelines (no ownership required). Experience working within agile delivery models. Awareness of audit and regulated change environments.
