Key Responsibilities
- Instruction and Delivery: Deliver pre-planned lessons in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, History, and others as required. Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of different classes and age groups. Ensure that students remain engaged and on-task during lessons.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment. Implement effective classroom management strategies to handle any behavioural issues. Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times. Quickly familiarise yourself with lesson plans and classroom routines. Be prepared to cover different subjects and grade levels as needed. Adapt to the varying needs and dynamics of different classrooms.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as necessary. Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a smooth transition between lessons. Provide feedback to regular teachers on students' progress and any issues encountered. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Stay informed about the school's policies and procedures. Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-classroom activities. Assist with administrative tasks as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or school administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (preferable).
