Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum, following the school’s planning or adapting as needed.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and well-being of all pupils.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
- Mark and assess pupils’ work where appropriate, providing feedback to support progress.
- Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of learning.
- Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as required.
- Uphold the school’s values, safeguarding policies, and commitment to equality and diversity.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching in a UK primary school setting (Preferred).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different year groups and teaching styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach to covering lessons at short notice.
- A clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- Experience working as a supply or cover teacher.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods.
- Ability to use digital tools and resources to support learning.
