You will lead the pigmented operations team to deliver budget volumes, meeting EHS, customer service, quality and cost targets. You will define and lead the process to achieve year on year improvement to all of these parameters and to develop and motivate the team to deliver the plan. You will report to the Operations Manager. We will base this role onsite in Stowmarket.
Key Responsibilities
- As a primary member of the Paint manufacturing management team, you will develop the strategy to deliver the future shape for Pigmented Production at Stowmarket and to lead implementation.
- You will lead the Pigmented team to deliver budget volumes to meet customer needs.
- Develop a trusting, committed operations team, built on excellence.
- Establish a network across all Stowmarket departments to deliver co-operation to achieve our goals.
- Participate in defining and lead an improvement process to deliver targeted EHS standards, productivity, cost and product quality improvement.
- Develop and engage employees to achieve the target improvements daily.
- Partner with Engineering, Technical and improvement teams both at Stowmarket and Milan sites to deliver new products and process improvements.
- Partner with the Stowmarket and Milan organisation for best practice sharing, product sourcing and industrialization processes.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years relevant management experience.
- Previous experience in Production/Operations Management, from a manufacturing background.
- An understanding of Lock out Tag Out and Permit to Work procedures.
- Excellent people leadership skills including communication, delegation, coaching, engagement and team building.
- Ability to convert business goals and priorities into practical production plans and strategies.
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools, principles and methodologies including 5S.
