Quality Control Technician Lead

We are very excited to announce a fantastic new opportunity to join our Quality Control Technician Lead team based in Shildon, United Kingdom – the hub of our Aerospace business unit. This role will offer excellent exposure to participate in our laboratory support activities, testing materials at various stages of production.

Role Requirements:
- Compliance with all relevant EHS policies and standard operating procedures
- In-process and final testing of batches to required specifications
- Testing and approval of raw materials and 3rd party intermediates
- Checking and recording of results
- Approval of batches to fill and dispatch
- Producing, checking and signing test reports where required
- Checking and authorizing release documentation
- Carrying out initial investigation of retain samples
- Communicating progress updates and test information in the department and to other relevant stake holders
Key Skills Needed:
- Prior laboratory experience (2+ years desired) and/or degree in relevant subject
- Manufacturing experience (2+ years desired)
- Communication and problem solving skills
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Attention to detail & Documentation completion
