Main responsibilities:
- To ensure the manufacturing/batch off procedure is being carried out to the highest quality, as per IFS Shop Orders, following all Shop Order instructions as per each guideline(s) shown on the Shop Order/Process Control System.
- Supervise, Lead and Support direct reports across multifunctional production processes with an aim for high performance.
- Monitor, prioritize and execute workflow of the daily production operation to meet deadlines.
- Manage overtime and shift allocations ensuring resource is planned in the most efficient manner.
- People management in accordance with company policies with issues relating to conduct and performance.
- Carry out effective and regular communications and toolbox talks specifically impacting education and cultural change of production on quality and service.
- Ensure all operators are trained and carry out the correct manufacturing/batch off procedures. Carry out training reviews ensuring relevant training matrices kept up to date.
- Adhere to and manage the Environmental Health and Safety guidelines as determined by the Health and Safety Policy and the finding of any subsequent risk assessments, promote, and manage Health and Safety best practice.
- Liaise with other operational leaders/managers regarding any potential shipping issues.
Key Skills:
- FLT License (Counterbalance is essential & Reach License is preferable).
- Ability to process/manage Lean principles.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a fast paced, high achieving team.
- Good time-management skills to minimise downtime and ensure a team works efficiently.
- The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
