A day in the life of an Operational Administrator...

  • To administrate all day-to-day production activities through the SAP system resulting in the correct ordering patterns for materials to ensure smooth flow of work, escalating any issues to the shift leader.
  • To liaise with planning, internal customers and external suppliers to ensure the correct materials are available to ensure customer demand is met.
  • To ensure all administration is carried out efficiently, confirming sheets OTIF to ensure department stocks are accurate and all records/files are kept up to date for quality auditing purposes and SAP system alignment.
  • Monitor kanban systems/reorder points and ensure adequate levels of all consumables are maintained through placing orders onto Epro.
  • Create purchase orders on the SAP system to enable orders to be placed for required items within the production departments.
  • Carry out Perpetual Inventory Counts and stock take including week end stock balancing minimising stock write offs.
  • Administer the check weighing system to ensure the weighing of filled products complies with the Weights and Measures legislation.

Key Skills...

  • A good degree of literacy and numerical skills required for the completion of administration activities.
  • Good IT skills including the ability to quickly learn computer systems e.g. SAP and Datastor.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills essential.
  • Previous administration experience would be an advantage.
