We now have an exciting new opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team in Stowmarket. This position will involve completing reactive and planned maintenance on all Plant equipment to ensure minimum impact on daily production. It will also ensure that every task is completed in a safe working environment and is responsible for reporting any safety hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out frequency based Preventive Maintenance plans to site standards across all areas of the site and rectify any issues found.
  • Diagnose breakdown causes and repair efficiently and effectively to ensure minimum downtime is seen in production of goods.
  • Be proactive in business process improvement initiatives and be aware of equipment performance trends such as efficiency, quality and waste.
  • Respond to reactive/corrective maintenance requests in a timely manner to reduce the impact on plant/machinery downtime.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and report any safety hazards immediately.

Key Skills:

  • Multi-skilled, however, mechanically biased with electrical knowledge is accepted.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is ideal.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and unsupervised.
  • Quality and Health & Safety awareness.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification or apprentice trained.
  • Good communications skills at all levels.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
