Join our Architectural Coatings business and be part of a global organisation, in an exciting role at the forefront of production of high performance products. You will lead a team that is responsible for production, from manufacture of product to customer quality and service levels in an organized, compliant, cost‑effective and safe environment. You will report to the Manufacturing Director.
Responsibilities
- Manage 10 people directly and indirectly for 30‑40 production staff.
- Responsible for delivery of all agreed EHS/Sustainability targets to meet and improve environmental and health and safety legislation.
- Responsible for all annual production targets and cultural change within your departments to deliver agreed EHS/Sustainability targets.
- Ensure visible measurement systems are in place to monitor progress, utilising performance boards, daily review processes and measurements to improve performance.
- Embed Business Improvement Processes (BPI) and 5S methodology into your department.
- Incorporate Operational Processes, Hygiene, First Time Right, and OEE to build a foundation for continuous improvement, standard work and sustained performance.
- Coach identified staff to ensure continued improvement and personal development through the performance and Learning Plan (P&PL) system.
- Responsible for succession planning and coaching identified staff.
- Lead and encourage an engaged teamwork environment at all levels within your department.
- Ensure deliverable action plans are in place and discussed with your team to improve engagement.
