Overview
As Central Specification Sales Manager you will grow PPG’s architectural specification share across UK&I within Architect and Design communities. You’ll manage a national, office-based portfolio and drive outbound engagement to build a sustainable pipeline. You will develop unique specifications for projects and coordinate with partners to move opportunities through the lead specification stages. You act as an ambassador at events, uphold PPG values, and provide regular performance updates. This role combines strategy, relationship building and specification leadership to influence major construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Apply a consultative sales approach to influence major construction and refurbishment projects
- Develop strategic account plans for top A&D practices and manage a large pipeline
- Create and maintain a sustainable pipeline using industry-leading tools
- Develop project specifications tailored to PPG to reduce substitution risk
- Identify Decision-making Unit and influence across contractor chains
- Collaborate to manage projects through specification stages with partners
- Follow PPG’s sales methodology and KPI framework
- Meet weekly outbound and pipeline KPIs and provide forecasted sales volumes
- Represent PPG at company events and uphold company values
- Provide weekly/monthly activity updates to relevant teams
- Act ethically and compliant with PPG policies
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience selling a branded product in construction or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of the Architect and Design industry and the specification marketplace
- Strong presentation skills for 1:1 and group delivery
