Do you have an inquisitive mind, enjoy practical work but also have strong mathematical aptitude in order to grasp complex theory? We are currently seeking an apprentice to undertake a four-year apprenticeship in Engineering with a bias in Instrumentation and Control. We manufacture Paints and Resins and you will be trained to provide Engineering maintenance on a variety of plant and industrial equipment on a large site with no two days looking the same.
Although you will be trained in all aspects of Maintenance Engineering, including mechanical and electrical, you will be specialising in Instrumentation and Control which can be from calibration of field devices to interrogating PLC control systems. You will work on site 4 days per week and attend College one day a week and by the end of the apprenticeship you will aim to be qualified to HNC/HND level.
This would ideally suit someone who is either completing A Levels in Mathematics and Science based subjects or completing an Engineering vocational qualification, however we would also consider a school leaver with strong Mathematics and Science GCSE results. This is a niche but vital role so feel free to reach out to find out more to see if this is the career choice for you.
