As the main route to market for the brand, our store network prides itself on advocating the same values as well as offering friendly advice, knowledge and expertise to all who shop with us.
As the Shopper Marketing Assistant for our stores, you will work within the Shopper Marketing team to support on the implementation of the annual trade marketing plans, supporting across a broad range of marketing activities, and ensuring alignment with core business processes. Advocating for consistency and best practise in both the store and online environments, whilst working alongside several business stakeholders means that this is a very varied role that comes with a lot of opportunities. You will work closely with our wider Marketing and Brand teams to align on the delivery of the core brand messages across the channel. Regular collaboration with sales and commercial functions will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivering key objectives in a key area of our business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and activation of strategic Trade shopper marketing projects.
- Be the first point of contact and coordinating lead for all marketing support requests from field colleagues in the store network and Trade sales team(s).
- Collaborate closely with design agencies, fulfilment houses and external PR and media agencies to deliver on marketing / commercial requirements.
- Produce and deliver relevant creative, communications, literature, and POS and launch as required to deadlines for key tactical projects.
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the store network ecommerce website, optimising for SEO, traffic improvement and conversion.
- Support the execution and implementation of store network communications through targeted media channels.
- Contribute to the delivery of a shopper marketing communications plan to support awareness of the store network and promote as a destination of choice for our target audience(s).
- Monitor and report on project/campaign return on investment, making recommendations to improve future campaign efficiency.
- Assist with the creation of, and coordinate the ongoing maintenance of, commercial sales support tools including briefing packs for store colleagues and customer facing presentations.
- Work alongside Brand marketing team(s) in driving the launch and activation of new products throughout the network.
- Proactively visit our Decorating Centre network of stores, and competitor stores, to monitor, evaluate, analyse and report key findings.
- Work alongside the store network sales and operations team(s) to ensure consistency and best practise within the built store environment.
- Maintain a database of the store network to be able to deliver accurate information to relevant parties where required and maintain online listings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a busy marketing or commercial environment is preferred.
- An enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude to your work!
- A degree level education within a business or marketing related course is preferred but not essential.
- Organised - excellent time management skills: ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- PC literate (proficient in Microsoft Office applications) and numerate with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
