Production Operator

PPG | Shildon

Full Time | Permenant

Purpose:

To support the manufacturing of PPG coatings by ensuring all products, materials, and goods are produced to the highest quality standards while maintaining efficiency and operational excellence.

Main responsibilities:

  • To manufacture products to the highest quality, adhering to PPG processes
  • To advise on any of the quality issues or shortages of materials to the Production Manager/Shift Managers.
  • To assist to continually improve on all procedures in the Work areas.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment in the line with 5s requirement as part of the working day.
  • To help maintain daily audit data as per requirements.
  • Adhere to and manage the health and safety guidelines as determined by the Health and Safety Policy and the finding of any subsequent risk assessments
  • Promote best health and safety within the team.
  • Carry out such additional duties as may reasonably be required by Production Manager/ Shift managers.

Requirements:

  • Ability to process manage Lean principles.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a fast paced, high achieving team.
  • Good organisational skills.
