Operational Excellence Manager in Durham

Join PPG Aerospace! As the Operational Excellence Manager , you will manage a portfolio of continuous improvement plans. Work cross-functionally with all levels in all departments to define, develop, and implement Lean Six Sigma projects and activities that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and operational costs. This position is fully onsite at our Huntsville, AL facility. You will report to the Plant Manager. Key Responsibilities Deploy Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to drive process improvements. Manage a small team of Lean / Six Sigma Engineers. Implement and enhance the AeroLean Production System standards, including 5S, Leader and Operator Standard Work, VSMs, Poka Yoke, Visual Management, Kanban, and Pull systems. Track and report on all continuous improvement workshops and cost savings initiatives within the site. Lead site cost / productivity improvement initiatives. Serve as a change agent with the ability to coach, train, and work at all organizational levels. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in a STEM or relevant field. 5+ years\' experience in manufacturing operations, process engineering, or quality management. Lean Six Sigma certification. Experience leading step change and breakthrough projects using DMAIC, Lean, or equivalent methods for business improvements in a production environment. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
