About The Role

Salary - £25,557 - £29,723 per annum

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for several Pharmacy Assistants to join our growing service at HMP Altcourse. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within our onsite pharmacy, while gaining exposure to a wider multi-disciplinary team in a unique and supportive healthcare environment. The pharmacy team play a vital role in delivering safe, effective care and supporting each patient’s health journey.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work alongside the Pharmacy Technicians on medication rounds – there are 3 rounds per day, morning, lunchtime and early evening
  • Second checking and dispensing medication
  • Work in the pharmacy and on the wings with patients
  • Support nurses in clinic and treatment rooms
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, GPs, and wider healthcare professionals

What We’re Looking For

  • An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing is essential
  • Previous pharmacy experience, whether within community, hospital or a secure environment

Important Information

Please note, this role requires flexibility and will include unsociable hours, such as evenings and weekends where applicable. Shifts will be between 7am - 8pm Monday - Sunday.
