At the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), we provide security in retirement for our members and millions of people throughout the UK who belong to defined benefit (DB) pension schemes. Through the PPF and Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), we compensate members for their pensions after the employer funding their pension becomes insolvent. In total, we look after over 400,000 members across the PPF and FAS. With over £30 billion in assets under management, our investments support long-term economic growth across the UK.

The role will oversee the PPF compliance with security practices and frameworks such as NSCS Cyber Essentials, NSCS Ten-Steps to Cyber Security and ISO27001. This role focuses on a mixture of project delivery and business as usual tasks. Key responsibilities include overseeing audit and review work to test and review current controls, and representing the PPF and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers.

We require an individual with expert knowledge of security data tools, information security controls, security best practice and management strategies. You’ll be comfortable with security frameworks and how this can be implemented within a business (NIST, ISO, CE). As you’ll be working alongside internal teams that may be highly specialised and technical as well as 3rd party suppliers, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career. We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Leader and actively encourage applications from people with disabilities. We are committed to ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible.
