At the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), we provide security in retirement for our members and millions of people throughout the UK who belong to defined benefit (DB) pension schemes. Through the PPF and Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), we compensate members for their pensions after the employer funding their pension becomes insolvent. In total, we look after over 400,000 members across the PPF and FAS. With over £30 billion in assets under management, our investments support long-term economic growth across the UK.

Our award-winning team of around 450 professionals has earned the IPE UK Pension Fund of the Year title three times in seven years. We work closely with government and industry partners to improve outcomes for scheme members, employers, and the broader pension system playing a vital role in strengthening retirement security nationwide.

We are looking for an FP&A Analyst to support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in developing a modern, efficient and well-controlled FP&A function. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen core planning and reporting capabilities, standardise processes, and improve the quality and consistency of financial models and insight across the organisation. You will play a key role in enhancing reporting outputs, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and embedding effective ways of working that enable better decision-making.

Acting as a finance systems super-user, you will help maximise the value of existing tools, support testing and change initiatives, and work closely with the Finance Systems Manager to ensure a smooth link between systems and FP&A processes.

We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience in FP&A, management accounting or management reporting. You will bring a track record of supporting planning cycles and improving financial processes, models or reporting. With working knowledge of enterprise finance or planning systems (e.g. Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Adaptive or similar). Strong Excel skills are essential, alongside a high level of analytical capability and attention to detail. You will be comfortable interpreting financial data and translating it into clear, practical insight, and able to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business, including those outside of finance.
