An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Community Therapy Team as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant. As a vital part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering a patient-centred rehabilitation service, working closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals. Main duties of the job
- Deliver rehabilitation through therapy interventions, which may include support with personal care tasks, cognition, and mobility.
- Carry out rehabilitation plans as delegated by occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with service users, families, and the therapy team.
- Be flexible to support the team during peak service times.
- Participate in the 7-day service rota, including weekends, delivering rehabilitation between 8 am and 8 pm.
About You
- Passionate about patient care and rehabilitation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Organised with good time management skills.
- Experience in a healthcare or therapy setting is desirable but not essential.

Qualification/Knowledge
- Level 3 education or equivalent e.g. BTEC, NVQ 3 and A Levels.
- Significant experience, skills, knowledge and experience equivalent to level 3 with a willingness to achieve this qualification.
- Good knowledge of health and social care.
- Working towards or achieved Diploma in Occupational Therapy Support / Physiotherapy Support / Rehabilitation.
Experience
- Experience of working across statutory or voluntary organisations.
- Experienced team worker.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience of working in a role of supporting therapists.
- Experience of working with the relevant patient group.
