An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team at Powys Teaching Health Board as a Clinical Specialist.

This is a fantastic chance to play a key role in shaping the delivery of paediatric occupational therapy services across Powys. Your role will be to offer clinical expertise and line management to a small team of specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapists. You will be instrumental in developing and influencing service models in collaboration with the operational HOS for paediatric Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy. while also providing guidance, education, and support to fellow team members.

Main duties of the job

To manage own daily highly specialist/expert complex caseload as an autonomous practitioner.

To act as a highly specialist clinical resource, disseminating expert information and education to Occupational Therapy colleagues, the general public and other health care professionals.

To provide direct advice for management and/or deliver intervention using highly skilled, technical physical techniques using highly developed physical skills requiring a high degree of precision and developing rehabilitation programmes.

To be responsible for implementing change within own practice and influencing and monitoring standards of Occupational Therapy practice within the team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
