Job Summary
Management Accountancy Assistant in the Finance Department at Bronllys Hospital.
Secondment required for Powys Health Board employees.
Supports the Management Accounts team, providing accurate monthly financial information, completing and inputting journals, and producing financial reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial information and reconciliation of general ledger to feeder systems.
- Investigate financial queries from service managers.
- Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support services.
- Organise meetings for department staff, coordinate attendance, book venues and equipment.
- Prepare and circulate meeting papers as required.
- Manage incoming correspondence, handle routine items and action reminders.
- Track correspondence and monitor follow‑up actions to ensure completion.
- Extract and retrieve information via the internet, perform photocopying, filing, arrange hospitality for visitors and guests.
- Communicate and demonstrate excellent communication skills, handling sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 GCSEs including Maths & English at A-C.
- Studying for AAT qualification.
- Financial knowledge.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Basic principles of accountancy and financial management.
- Excellent oral and telephone skills.
- Ability to convey financial information to non‑financial managers.
- Employment Details
Salaried at £26,813 to £27,890 per annum, pro rata. Part‑time applicants (minimum 20 hours) will be considered.
