As a Health Care Support Worker, you will support the delivery of nursing care to clients within a clinical setting and/or home environment, as part of a team and under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Our priorities within the team focus on:

This is an ideal opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker who is seeking to broaden and utilise their range of skills and knowledge to nurse people in their own environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will participate in the delivery of skilled, autonomous nursing care to patients within their own home. The Brecon and Sennybridge District Nursing Team are an integral part of the Virtual Ward that aims to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital and facilitate early discharge home. This post involves lone working and the ability to travel independently is essential. We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers; but even if you don’t speak any Welsh, or want to develop your skills, don’t worry: the health board will support you with training.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
- Essential: NVQ3 in Health or Social Care or equivalent demonstrable experience in a Health or Social Care setting
- Desirable: ECDL or equivalent level of computer skills To be aware of the needs of the patients and their relatives/carers and have knowledge of voluntary and statutory services
