Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and well-qualified Year 2/3 Class Teacher for maternity cover required from 1st September 2026. This is a full-time fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will be caring, highly motivated, skilled and dynamic – fully committed to the role and the wider life of the school. They will have high expectations and high standards, with a proven track record of successful teaching and partnership-working to bring to our team. They will be a versatile practitioner, able to teach learners of all ages, abilities and learners with additional needs.

The successful applicant will be subject to a Powys County Council enhanced disclosure from the DBS and will need two references before they can take up the post.

Interview dates: 22nd May 2026

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check.
