Powys County Council is recruiting up to three Adult Services Transformation Programme Managers to lead and deliver strategic transformation across Adult Services in Powys. This is a fixed‑term post until March 2028, 37 hours per week, based at County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, at Grade 14 (£27.16‑£35.58 per hour via Prism).
You will take ownership of complex, multi‑stranded transformation programmes spanning business change, benefits realisation, governance, and stakeholder engagement. Working as part of the Adult Services management team and reporting to the Director of Social Services and Wellbeing, you will coordinate delivery of strategic projects across service boundaries, manage programme budgets, and serve as the senior point of contact between the programme board and project teams.
Essential RequirementsEssential requirements include demonstrable experience of managing and delivering complex change programmes, a recognised programme or project management qualification (MSP, Agile or equivalent), strong financial management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across organisational and agency boundaries. Experience of Adult Services or social care is desirable but not essential. Advanced O365 proficiency and the ability to travel across Powys for in‑person meetings are required. Welsh language skills are desirable. The post is subject to a standard DBS check.
